Billed as 'an exciting event aimed at promoting activities available to Newark and it's wider community', the First Annual Newark Day took place on Sunday, 2nd April 2006.

In locations in and around Newark on Trent's historic Town Hall, Market Place and Buttermarket, representatives of a wide selection of local groups attended to promote their respective clubs, organisations and charities.

This free event was organised by Newark Town Council.
